1. Description of Service

mdtoepub.com provides a free, browser-based tool that converts Markdown (.md) text files into EPUB ebook format. The entire conversion process runs client-side in your web browser using JavaScript. No data is transmitted to our servers during the conversion process.

In addition to the converter tool, we provide educational content including guides, tutorials, and articles about Markdown, EPUB format, and ebook publishing.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this site, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you are using the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

3. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to any content you create, paste, or upload using our converter tool. Since all processing happens in your browser, we never have access to, collect, or store your content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and convert any content you input into the tool. Do not use this tool to convert content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the site for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

• Use the site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the site's infrastructure

• Marked — MIT License (for parsing Markdown to HTML)

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that:

• The site will be available at all times without interruption
• The converter will produce error-free EPUB files for all inputs
• The generated EPUB files will be compatible with every e-reader device
• The site will be free from technical errors or security vulnerabilities

You use the tool at your own risk. We recommend keeping backups of your original Markdown files.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, mdtoepub.com and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Damage to your device or software
• Any issues arising from EPUB files generated by the tool
• Service interruptions or unavailability

Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of this site shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the site (which is zero, as the service is free).

8. Third-Party Services

The site uses third-party services including Google AdSense (advertising), Google Fonts (typography), and Cloudflare CDN (JavaScript libraries). These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.

9. Advertising

The site displays advertisements through Google AdSense to support free operation. By using the site, you acknowledge that advertisements may be displayed. The content of advertisements is determined by Google and its advertising partners, not by us.
